Since its establishment in 1961, Overhead Line Fittings (UK) Limited has worked with National Grid (formerly the CEGB), the DNO’s and their Contractors to provide a complete package of materials for the installation and maintenance of overhead Transmission and Distribution power lines.

With its team of dedicated engineers and their specialised product knowledge, the company can provide a service of bespoke design solutions to meet customers precise requirements. This design capability together with its procurement aptitude and in house test facilities enables OLF to provide a complete service to the overhead line industry.

To enhance the package of materials available, Overhead Line Fittings can provide insulators suitable for a wide range of applications. Porcelain insulators include a range from low voltage up to and including 132kV systems. The company also supplies the London Underground (Metronet) with all its porcelain insulators used for the support of its electrified rail system. A range of toughened glass cap and pin insulators is similarly available to suit most applications. Composite insulators can be offered on receipt of full technical requirements.
